Help to log sightings

We want to make sure you are all happy to log your sightings into our Atlas. Please give me a call if you need support to get started, Libby Hepburn Tel: 0264 95 0917

At the moment we are just beginning to build our Species lists, so you may have to log your sightings in the “Species Not Listed”  box. We are adding new species to the lists all the time, so we will be able to categorise your sightings in due course.

Think of it as you creating a notebook of all your sightings in your own space, then adding them to the Atlas from time to time as the base lists grow bigger.

We are at the beginning of  a big project and you really will be helping to create something unique for our place.

Thank you Atlas of Living Australia

Our biggest thank you goes to the whole team at the Atlas of Living Australia, particularly Owen Butler. Without the team’s unfailing patience and enthusiasm for the task of listening to us and translating our wishes into wonderful technology, we would not now have access to all the leading edge technology and computing power that makes valid “Citizen Science” a reality. The power of their systems is truly awesome in terms of what we will be able to do in our project. I have to say that I don’t understand all of what is possible by any means, but what I can see is truly exciting. Thank you Owen, Peter, Robyn, Bryan, Miles and everyone else at ALA, we look forward to working with you in the future to produce good scientific information, for us and for the future.

We are proud to be part of the national biodiversity project.
