Sapphire Coast Marine Society…outing

We would like you to join us for the first outing of the year ,

When :    28th February

Where:  Camel Rocks car park ,north of Bermagui.

Time :  11 am…

This will be a rock pool scramble,along the beach and round by Camel Rock….we have found many interesting species there before including some lovely Sea Hares.

Please wear good rock scrambling shoes & sun protection.

The Sapphire Coast Marine Discovery Centre is seeking an Aquarium Maintenance Technician.

Flexible hours, up to 12 a fortnight. Experience necessary.

Breeding success…Beach nesting birds

Breeding1 Hooded Plover chickGreat success at Mogareeka with the Little & Fairy Terns ,40+ fledglings ,most have left on their journey North again. Little tern & 2 chicks shown.

Not as successful for our critically endangered Hooded Plovers,this chick has been seen on Main beach ,Merimbula  ,parents, YO & friend moved there from the Bournda Island area .There were  3 chicks but only 1 sighted and flagged W1 last week.

Please report any sightings to NPWS or FSC Birdwatchers.
